Personal Development is an activity, which turns into a habit in successful people, to continually improve yourself, your skills, your knowledge, your attitudes and your values, habits and methods. Every school, college and university engages in personal development of its students, but sometimes this can be too expensive for people. More inexpensive methods are to shadow, model or copy an admired personality, this could be your Father, older brother or cousin, a teacher, a local leader, a celebrity or a historical figure. ‘Self Help’ books became popular in the USA and from there, the idea has spread to other countries. In recent years, people like Stephen Covey, Anthonny Robbins, Lou Tice, Colin Rose and Tony Buzan have written many books to help people develop themselves. In this section we will explore and learn some of the fruits of their work as well as the work of others.
